Product Authentication Technologies
Product authentication technologies allow customers, dealers or manufacturers to verify product originality using a QR code, hidden verification code, a second QR code under a scratch-off layer, NFC tag and scan history.
These technologies connect physical products with digital product passports, help detect repeated or suspicious scans, strengthen brand protection against counterfeiting and build customer trust in the product.
Customers scan a QR code with a smartphone and open a digital product passport with product data, brand information, status and available verification actions.
An additional unique code is placed under a protective layer or inside the package and is used to confirm originality after purchase.
A scratch-off layer protects the verification code until purchase. After removing the layer, the customer enters the code on the product passport page.
The first QR code opens the product page, while the second hidden QR code confirms originality without manual code entry.
An NFC tag allows customers to open the product passport and verify the product by simply tapping it with a smartphone.
The system detects repeated checks, unusual geography, excessive scan activity and other signs of possible counterfeiting or grey-market distribution.
A comprehensive approach combining digital verification, security marking, product passports, scan analytics and organizational measures.
Product checking helps customers distinguish original products from counterfeits and reduces the risk of purchases through unreliable sales channels.
How product authentication works
- Each product unit receives a unique identifier.
- The identifier is applied to the product, package, label, NFC tag or security element.
- The customer scans a QR code, reads an NFC tag or enters a verification code.
- The system opens the digital product passport and shows the verification status.
- The manufacturer receives data on checks, regions, repeated scans and suspicious activity.
Select a product authentication technology
We help manufacturers choose the right verification scenario: QR code, hidden code, scratch-off layer, second QR code, NFC tag, security label or a combined solution for brand protection against counterfeiting.
