Unlike a standard label, the web passport can be updated, expanded and connected with other processes: production accounting, logistics, warranty, claims, service and CRM.
Product authenticity verification
The customer can verify product originality using a smartphone. For basic verification, it is enough to scan the QR code and open the web passport page.
For a higher level of protection, an additional verification code under a scratch-off layer can be used. The customer removes the protective layer, enters the code on the verification page, and the system confirms or rejects the product authenticity.
This approach helps protect products from counterfeiting, repeated use of packaging, grey imports and unauthorized circulation.
Second QR code under a scratch-off layer
Instead of manually entering a verification code, a second QR code hidden under a scratch-off layer can be used. This is convenient for customers because they do not need to type any characters manually.
First, the customer scans the open QR code and goes to the web passport page. Then the customer removes the protective layer and scans the second hidden QR code. The system compares the data from both codes and performs the verification.
This scenario makes authenticity confirmation faster, clearer and more convenient for the international market.
Security labels and holograms
Special security labels, holograms, foil elements and premium materials can be used to enhance visual protection. They increase trust in the product and make packaging harder to copy.
A hologram can work as an independent visual security element and at the same time be part of the digital system: a QR code, verification code or hidden QR code can be placed next to it or inside the label.
